@ojou I was unaware she did Macross. The music-as-unifier aspect was a major part of it's appeal, for me. And, yes; Cowboy Bebop is top notch! Much of her work for Bebop heavily borrows from other works. Even so, the borrowed licks are spot on and fit the show with perfection. 👍
watching all of macross is was ultimately convinced me that yoko kanno is a genius
cowboy bebop is incredible, but you listen to the music she did for macross and realize "ah, it wasn't a fluke"
